Professional Tree Care
Wood Chip Details
- When pruning and removing trees, we use our chipper to shred branches into small pieces, creating wood chips.
- These wood chips are organic, unprocessed, and nutrient-rich.
- They are great for gardens, trails, around trees/shrubs, composting, etc. They are probably not what you want for a highly manicured landscape area.
- Most loads are a variety of species. They are not uniform chips like what you would buy at a landscaping center. Depending on the time of year, they will have shredded leaves in them.
- We will not bring you wood chips that have invasive seeds (buckthorn, etc.) in them.
Studies have found arborist wood chips to be one of the best performers in terms of moisture retention, temperature moderation, weed control, and sustainability. For more information see: WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION FACT SHEET:
